I’m currently at work on a manuscript (with the working title Play) that I hope will eventually be published as my first poetry collection. The poems in Play operate at the intersection of desire, the body, etiquette, and possibility; I want my poems ask what it means to want and be wanted, to interrogate the rules of romance by which we have been taught to operate, and to consider what excitement may lie on the other side of what we consider polite. I look forward to continuing to work on this collection during my fellowship at the Writers’ Room of Boston.
