Need a room of your own to write your novel, short stories, poems, or non-fiction?

To apply for membership, you must be working on a substantial writing project: a novel, collection of short stories, poems, or essays, a work of nonfiction, a translation, play, or screenplay.

Minimum period of residency is three months.

Please send:

1. completed application form (below)
2. current resume
3. a one page description of your project
4. published or unpublished writing samples (including, if possible a selection from your project)

   Fees: $175 per quarter, plus key fee

   We try to keep our fees as low as possible. Your payments cover only a portion of our actual operating expenses. If you are unable to pay you might qualify for a LEF Foundation or Nadya Aisenberg Poetry Fellowship. The deadline usually falls in mid-October; contact the Room for more information.
